HypN · Tailor-made hypnosis

Calming the anxious background, not just the spikes

Anxiety isn't a weakness — it's an alarm system tuned too sensitive, going off for dangers that don't exist, or don't exist yet. You don't smash the alarm: you retune it.

  • The knot in your stomach in the morning, before the day has even started
  • The catastrophe scenarios playing on a loop
  • A body on permanent alert — jaw, shoulders, shallow breath

How hypnosis works on this ground

Two complementary levers: the body, and your relationship to thoughts. On the body side, slow breathing and the hypnotic state directly engage the parasympathetic nervous system — the physiological brake on alert. It's a skill: the more often you go down into it, the more familiar the path becomes.

On the thought side, the work draws on acceptance-based approaches: an anxious thought is a mental event, not a truth and not a command. The sessions install that distance — watching the wave without climbing onto it — and an inner place of safety you can reach at will.

What HypN does, concretely

  • Your own calm place (described at intake, in your words) becomes the setting of your sessions and your mental refuge
  • A personal body anchor — a simple gesture that recalls the state of calm, usable anywhere, discreetly
  • Short boosters (a few minutes) for the spikes — in real life, right when it's rising
  • Safety owned openly: with severe anxiety or disabling panic, HypN points you toward a healthcare professional

Questions we hear the most

Can hypnosis make anxiety worse?

HypN sessions use permissive language — you stay in control, you can open your eyes at any moment, nothing is imposed on you. With dissociative or psychotic conditions, hypnosis is not appropriate without medical advice.

How is it different from meditation?

Meditation trains attention; hypnosis adds suggestion — work aimed at YOUR precise situations, in your words, toward a change defined together. The two complement each other well.

Does it replace psychotherapy?

No. HypN is wellness support. If your anxiety is pervasive, long-standing, or tied to trauma, psychotherapy is the right setting — hypnosis can walk alongside that work, not stand in for it.

HypN is a wellbeing companion — it does not replace your doctor, therapy, or any treatment. Results vary from person to person.
